Personally & Professionally

Personally...

Having overcome my own struggle with trauma and anxiety, my heart is tied closely to the work I do in a special way.

As a highly sensitive therapist, I process things deeply, reflect thoughtfully, and work with you to gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts, feelings and experiences.  Together we build a bridge leading to positive change.

I hope you will find my approach kind, compassionate and:

  • Holistic.  I am interested in all aspects of you (physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual) and how each is connected to the problem and solution.

  • Spiritual.  I offer spiritual support from a Christian perspective. Learn more...

  • Integrative. I draw from a variety of theories and have a variety of approaches to offer.

  • Collaborative. I provide a variety of options and suggestions based on your current need and goals, and you decide what style of therapy you feel most comfortable with.  Better yet, offer your own ideas and let's see what we can build together!

  • Trauma Informed.  I am able to view all approaches from a trauma perspective and treatment focus.

We build a plan that includes what you feel comfortable with and any suggestions you have. You have a  Choice

Therapy for Individuals

Individual Counselling

Your story matters.   I offer a caring, safe place where you can openly share about what is troubling you and find unconditional acceptance and support.

I do my best to understand the nature of the problem and offer understanding, compassion, and guidance. I work with you to learn helpful ways of understanding, coping and responding to situations. This may include exploring common patterns, providing feedback, teaching problem-solving strategies, practicing new skills, or suggesting helpful resources.

I offer professional, research-based  treatment options. I explain helpful elements of various therapeutic approaches and together we design a plan that you feel fits for you.

Problems and symptoms are connected with the physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual aspects of who we are.  However, we only work on the areas you feel ready to work on.
