I do my best to understand the nature of the problem and offer understanding, compassion, and guidance. I work with you to learn helpful ways of understanding, coping and responding to situations. This may include exploring common patterns, providing feedback, teaching problem-solving strategies, practicing new skills, or suggesting helpful resources.
I offer professional, research-based treatment options. I explain helpful elements of various therapeutic approaches and together we design a plan that you feel fits for you.
Problems and symptoms are connected with the physical, mental, social, emotional and spiritual aspects of who we are. However, we only work on the areas you feel ready to work on.
I offer spiritual support from a Christian perspective for those interested.
To provide my best care to clients, I have completed additional training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), and Emotionally Focused Therapy.
