Internal Family Systems refers to the relationships between the different aspects of your personality and how you perceive and respond to different experiences among these different parts. This is called your internal family system. Maybe you sense you have an emotional side and a rational side that don't seem to work together. Perhaps you feel confident in some situations, but the confidence disappears in others. Together, we work with your patterns, survival instincts, and wounded parts to recover and heal. It's not uncommon for a person's internal system to carry similar traits from ones family of origin. Trauma can cause certain parts to become 'stuck', causing ongoing turmoil emotionally, mentally and or prevent healthy responses to everyday experiences.
